A partnership of scientists at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, the Vascular Biology Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences published an article in the October 2015 edition of Biomaterials. These scientists used SpectrumLabs.com MicroKros® 50 kDa Polysulfone to develop a cleaning method for removing pathogens and endotoxins from blood.

The objective of the experimentation was to develop a system for filtering flowing blood in patients with sepsis. The scientists used rats and our low-volume filters to present the possibility of large clinical trials.
