In the June 2016 issue of Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, researchers at Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Argentina used Spectra/Por® 1 dialysis tubing to concentrate calcium phosphate coated liposomes. The article, titled “Delivery of fluorophores by calcium phosphate-coated nanoliposomes and interaction with Staphylococcus aureus biofilms”, shows that the development of the coated liposomes may prove important to drug delivery applications.

Standard Grade Regenerated Cellulose (RC) is a clear, flexible and sturdy dialysis membrane with a “looser” molecular selectivity. This economical membrane is ideal for a broad range of applications in which there is a significant size difference between the MW species being separated; including sample prep, desalting, buffer exchange, pH change, protein purification, etc.
